For people living in poverty, access to credit is hard to come by. To address this gap and help families on their way to financial independence, Hagari offers low interest business loans to members of the community-led savings group.LEARN MORE
Our student partnership program provides a way for vulnerable children to receive a higher quality education at a very low cost to them. We currently have 26 children awaiting a partner to help their education dreams come true.LEARN MORE
In an effort to create income for families struggling with poverty, Hagari works with a small group of artisans to develop their talent and assist in access to markets. These mothers make incredibly beautiful baskets from local materials. Their creations are sold both here in Rwanda and in America.LEARN MORE
Food insecurity is a serious problem for Rwanda’s poorest families and the rates of malnutrition among children are alarming. Hagari agrees with Dr. Seuss when he says “the more that you read, the more things that you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” We believe that reading can open doors for children that may otherwise be closed and we want to stir our students to a love of reading which can help them be lifelong learners.LEARN MORE
